Mike Chires is General Manager of Michigan Sports Network. A collegiate radio broadcast division owned by Host Communications and partner with University of Michigan. Michigan Sports Network originates and holds the broadcast rights to University of Michigan football, basketball and hockey. The broadcasts are cleared over a thirty-four-station network in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.

Mike has over twenty-five years of Radio Broadcast experience, primarily in sales. He has held positions as President of Banner Radio (NY), Market Manager for Cumulus Broadcasting, Director of Sales for Greater Media, Detroit, Midwest Regional Vice President and Detroit Office Manager for Katz Radio. Mike's been responsible for developing sales organizations, as well as radio station acquisitions. In addition, he was elected to a four-year term as Chairman of the Detroit Radio Advertising Group.

A native of Michigan, Mike is a graduate of Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan. He earned a Bachelor of Science Industrial Management degree.

Mike and his wife Beth, along with their two kids, Lyndsay and Michael reside in Rochester, Michigan.
